Nashville Trolley & City Tours Compared

Prices & schedules checked October 18, 2026

Nashville’s sights are spread out — Broadway and the Ryman downtown, Music Row and the Parthenon to the west — so a narrated ride is a good first move. The choice comes down to how much of the day you want it to take: an all-day hop-on-hop-off trolley, a quick 1-hour double-decker loop, or 90 minutes in an open golf cart that can squeeze down smaller streets.

Our take

Choose the Old Town Trolley if this is your main sightseeing day and you want to get off at stops along the route and get back on later. Trolleys leave about every half hour from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, per the listing.

Choose the double-decker if you only want a 1-hour overview and the cheapest seat. Choose the golf cart for a smaller group and closer views (35+ locations including Music Row, Tootsie’s and the Ryman) — but children 4 and under aren’t allowed, and there’s a two-person minimum per booking.

Celebrity-home curious? Gray Line’s Homes of the Stars is a 2-hour coach tour; it’s narrated drive-bys, not house visits.
