Do you need a car?

Yes. It’s a 90-mile drive from Atlanta, and once you’re here the cabins, the Toccoa River, Lake Blue Ridge and the trailheads are spread out across the county. Downtown and the Scenic Railway depot are walkable from each other.

Driving an EV? Visit Blue Ridge notes there are “limited charging stations throughout the area” and suggests calling its office (706-632-5680) to ask.

Renting a car

If you do rent, compare the airport desks in one search rather than booking the first brand you see, and check what the rate includes (tolls, extra drivers, mileage) before you pay.

Schedules, routes and coverage change; confirm on the official page before you travel.
