Caboose Compass

About Caboose Compass

Caboose Compass is an independent visitor guide to Blue Ridge and Fannin County, Georgia. It’s named for the railroad town’s best-known ride, the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. Our sister guides are Coquina Compass (St. Augustine, Florida), Tabby Compass (Savannah, Georgia), Rhinestone Compass (Nashville) and Firefly Compass (Gatlinburg and the Smokies).

What we do: compare the things visitors actually do in Blue Ridge (the train, the river and lake, orchards, waterfalls and the holiday season) on price, timing and who they suit, so you can choose quickly.

How we work: every guide is researched from operators’ and organizers’ official pages, the U.S. Forest Service and public booking listings, and lists its sources and the date facts were last checked. Our guides are written with the help of AI tools and then fact-checked against those sources before publishing. We don’t publish invented reviews or pretend to have done trips we haven’t.

Independence: we’re not affiliated with the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, any tour or rental operator, the Forest Service, TVA or the Fannin County Chamber. See our affiliate disclosure for how the site is funded.
