Key West Sunset Sails & Reef Snorkeling

Prices & schedules checked October 18, 2026

Two water experiences define a Key West trip: watching the sun go down, and snorkeling the reef offshore. You can do the first for free.

Sunset from land: Mallory Square

Sunset Celebration is a nightly arts festival at Mallory Square, with street performers and artisans; the organizers call it Key West’s longest-running arts festival. Arrive a little before sunset for a spot by the water.

Sunset from the water

Several companies run sunset cruises from the historic seaport. Fury lists sunset options including a cruise with a live band, champagne sunset cruises and glass-bottom-boat sunset trips; Sebago lists catamaran excursions with live entertainment and an open bar. Compare boats, drinks and times on each operator’s page.

Reef snorkel trips

Both big operators run catamaran snorkel trips out to the reef, including morning and afternoon departures, and Fury lists a two-stop “double dip” trip. Check each listing for gear, instruction, drinks and exact times.

Viator prices change often, so we don’t quote them: the Viator buttons open the live listing, where you’ll see today’s price, times and cancellation terms. Facts on this page come from the operators’ own sites.

Snorkeling at the Dry Tortugas

If you’re taking the ferry to Fort Jefferson, snorkel gear is included, so you may not need a separate reef trip. See the Dry Tortugas guide.
